When to use a title check
Use this page when you already have a candidate line and you want a count before you paste it into a template. If the bar reads long, trim a clause rather than deleting the useful noun. If the bar reads short, add the qualifier a reader would need. Compare the character guide with the pixel estimate, because a line of wide capitals can fill 600 pixels before it reaches 60 characters. How does the counter treat emoji?
The main count uses Unicode code points. A visible emoji built from several code points can still differ from that number. When the UTF-16 length differs, the page says so.
Does a long title prevent a page from ranking?
This checker does not score rankings. A long title may be cut in the snippet. That is a reading problem, not a grade from this tool.
Are spaces counted?
Yes. The main number includes spaces. The line under the field also reports characters without spaces.
Does the longer title win the comparison?
No. The second field only shows length and an approximate snippet next to the first title. You still choose the line a reader can finish.
